Protest in the Palestinian West Bank City of Nablus Against Israeli Bombing of Gaza (October 17, 2023). This was the first large demonstration in Nablus against the war on Gaza.
In the Fall term of 2023, I decided to take a sabbatical in Palestine to finish fieldwork for my book in progress entitled, Imprisoned: Voices and Images from Confinement Landscapes in Palestine. I arrived in the West Bank for my sabbatical on October 6, 2023 at the home of my friend Abd-Hameed, in the town of Deir al-Ghusun. Within 10 days, there were demonstrations against the Israeli bombardment of Gaza and the siege in the West Bank. This demonstration in Nablus on October 17, 2023 was one of the first.
